A LITTLE THING

Getting late for a meeting, need to run', he said, as he slung his coat over the shoulder, and bounded out of the house.

As he drove away, she came running down the stairs two at a time. 'wait, wait', she said, but he had already left.

Her mouth crumpled like used wrapping paper. 'He forgot to give me a goodbye kiss', she whispered in a voice that tumbled under the weight of her hurt.

She called him, 'You left without giving me a kiss', she said accusingly. 'I am sorry sweetheart', he said, his voice contrite. 'It is okay', she said, trying to be all grown up as she cut the call.

She gulped down her breakfast morosely, wore her shoes, picked up her school bag and started to walk out of the door, her shoulders slumped.

As she climbed down the steps, the car glided to a stop outside the house. He got out of the car. She ran to him, her whole face lit up like a Christmas tree.

'I am sorry I forgot', he said as he picked her up and hugged her. She said nothing. Her jaw ached from smiling.

Fifteen years later, no one would remember he was late for a meeting, but a little girl would never ever forget that her father drove all the way back home just to kiss her goodbye!

IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE, IT'S A REFLECTION

"A Son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams:

"AAAAhhhhhhhh!!!!!"

To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain:

 "AAAAhhhhhhhh!!!!!"

Curious, he yells: 'Who are you?' He receives the answer. 'Who are you?'.
And then he screams to the mountain: 'I admire you!'. The voice answers, 'I admire you!'.

Angered at the response, he screams: 'Coward!'. He receives the answer: 'Coward!'. He looks his father and asks: 'What's going on?'.

The father smiles and says:

"My son, pay attention'. the man screams: 'You are a champion'. The voice answers: 'You are a champion'.

The boy is surprised, but does not understand then the father explains:

'People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.

It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life. Life will give you back everything you have given to it"

MORAL: "Your life is not a coincidence. Its a reflection of you!".

STOP BEING A GLASS, BECOME A LAKE.

Once an unhappy young man came to an Old Master and told he had a very sad life and asked for a solution.

The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it.

"How does it taste?" the master asked.

"Terrible" spat the apprentice.

The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake.

The old man said, "Now drink from the lake".

As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the Master asked, "How does it taste?"

"Good!" remarked the apprentice.

"Do you taste the salt?" asked the Master.

"No" said the young man.

The Master sat beside this young man, took his hands and said:

"This pain of life pure salt; no more or no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the 'pain' depends on the container we put in into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things. Stop being a glass. Become a lake"

"STOP BEING A GLASS, BECOME A LAKE".

PUT THEM DOWN

The Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see and asked the students "How much do you think this glass weighs?".

'50 grams!... 100 grams!... 125 grams!'... the students answered.

" I really don't know unless I weigh it." said the professor, "but, my question is:
What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?"

'Nothing'... the students said

'Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?' the professor asked.

'Your arm would begin to ache' said one of the student.

"You're right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?"

"Your arm could go numb; you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go hospital for sure!"...
Ventured another student & all the students laughed.

'Very good.

But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?' asked the professor.

'No'... was the answer.

"Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?"

The students were puzzled.

"What should I do now to come out of pain?" asked professor again.

"Put the glass down!" said one of the students.

"Exactly!" said the professor.

Life's problems are something like this.

Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK. Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.

Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.

It's important to think of the challenges or problems in your life, BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to "PUT THEM DOWN" at the end of every day before you go to sleep...

That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh & strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!

MORAL: So, Before starting your day, remember to ''PUT THE GLASS DOWN''.
