HOME

He woke up as usual. A boy hardly aged eleven. He offered his morning prayers and went off to face another challenging day.

He dreams. Everybody does. Irrespective of how big or small, he believes.
He have a basket of toys. Children aged eleven would definitely like to play toys wouldn't they !

Standing near a traffic signal, he saw a car. He ran towards it as a man waved his hand to call him.

" How much for all these toys? "
" 10 Rupees per piece "

As the man was finding his wallet, the boy impatiently looked at the red signal.

" Do you study ? "
" I don't have enough money to purchase books"

" Where do you live ? "
" I live in this city "

" Have a seat "

And the signal turned Green'.

WISENESS OF A MOTHER

Mom comes to visit her son Kumar for dinner... who lives with a girl roommate Sunita. During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty Kumar's roommate was.  She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two, and this had only made her more curious.

Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she startred to wonder if there was more between Kumar and his roommate than met the eye. Reading his mom's thoughts, Kumar volunteered, " I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Sunita and I are just roommates ".

About a week later, Sunita came to Kumar saying, " Ever since your Mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver plate. You don't suppose she took it, do you ? "
Kumar said, " Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, just to be sure ".

So he sat down and wrote :
--------------------------------

Dear Mother,

I'm not saying that you 'did' take the silver plate from my house, I'm not saying that you 'did not' take the silver plate.. But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner.

Love Kumar.

Several days later, Kumar received an email from his Mother which read:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Son,

I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with Sunita, and I'm not saying that you 'do not' sleep with Sunita. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the silver plate by now under the pillow.

Love Mom.

ABOVE MOTHER NO OTHER

She Kissed My Forehead And Tucked Me In.
She Is Happiness.
She Is My Mother.

Telling our Mother I Love You is like a Child telling I Love Icecream.

The mere people who waits for this day and wish their Mothers are those who stay at distance from them. Because distance prove us the value of love and people especially, Mother. Mother is a Wonderdful Woman who never knows to skip things and take rest even for a while. She deserve more than words and gifts we share her this day. Mothers are Mothers.
Nothing can beat the Happiness of  wishing our Mother, A Happy Mother's Day by a handwritten letter telling her, How Beautiful She Is...!!

A Poem by ANITA MARATHE,

HOW CAN YOU BE BEDRIDDEN ?

You were fit for seven decades mom!
You were always agile,
Eternally a caring Mother,
How did your health all beguile?

You used to be up and active,
Even before the sun and the cock,
We have never seen you ailing,
And they say there is now vessel block!

Sleep would bewithch and entice us,
But you would still with hands full,
With the numerous chores to get done,
Before you hit the bed with a mind cool!

I never saw you brushing your teeth,
As it was always done before I awoke,
Languishing in bed was never the thing,
You did even if we would provoke!

You slogged so that we could relax,
And accompanied us in our hours of strife,
Did you never wish to live for yourself,
Getting sick of being a good mom and wife?

We all would grumble about smallest grievances,
But you took everything in stride,
No cosmetics could vie in adoring your face,
When it was resplendent with your material pride!

Did you never play with dolls or wet earth?
Did you never misplace things or lose calm?
Were you never lazy or lethargic?
We're you described to care by the lines on your palm?

We faced harsh or salubrious times,
And you were a pillar of strength,
We took it for granted, o maa!
That you would be there for our life's length!

Then one day you shook us dear,
We trembled to the core,
When they inserted tubes and needles,
To put you at ease but to scare us more!

The doctors are going for a by-pass,
To bring comfort as of old,
We will leave no stone unturned,
To have you with your original heart of gold!

All these years you conditionally cared,
For your darlings you did nothing spare,
So that you can forever be there,
And life is again bountiful and fair!!
