WINNING BY LOSING

" Get me a glass of water you useless idiot ", Raj ordered Meera.

" What ? What did you just say ? Do you have manners to talk with a woman ? " Raj dad scolded him instantly. Raj replied, " But dad, she's useless. She is just doing WhatsApp and television all the day and...."

Raj Mother interrupted him by saying, " Shut up ! Who told you that ? Don't use insulting words. Don't forget you have a Mother and Sister too, and Sorry to Meera now. "

Raj excused, " But mom, "

Raj's dad scolded him with higher voice, " That's an order. Did you hear me? "
Raj confront an apology to Meera and went into the bedroom.

Raj's Mother came to Meera and said, " We're Sorry on behalf of Raj beta, Please let it go. We're always there as Parents with you. Never feel worried or alone. "

" I am feeling shameful that you have to face this within two months of marriage. Raj has never been like this that. I'will make sure that he never harass you anymore beta ". - Raj Father replied.

Meera had tears in eyes, but she felt happy that her in-laws were supportive. She went to the bedroom and Raj angrily closed the bedroom. He turned back with a Smile and said,

" I told you that Mother-in-law can treat you like a Mother and Father-in-law can treat you like a Father. Now do you believe me ? "

With a shock, Meera asked, " What ? Are you insane ? You did all this for that stupid bet ".

Raj came close to Meera and said, " No, I did that for you. I just wanted you to realize that

RELATIONSHIP MEANS LOVE AND TRUST, NOT BLOOD ONLY ".

She finally understood Raj's intention behind that drama and thanked him.
Raj teased her to stop crying, " This was our first bet after marriage and you lost. How does that feel losing ? "

Meera smiled and replied, " You know Raj, I truly won today ".

UBUNTU - A VERY NICE STORY

"The Motivation behind name given to Ubuntu Operating System".

An Anthropologist proposed one game to the African tribal Children. He placed a basket of sweets and Candy's near a tree. And made them stand 100 meters away. And announced that who ever reached first would get all the sweets in the basket. When he said ready steady go....,

Do you know what these small children did?

They all held each others hands and ran towards the tree together, divided the sweets among them and ate the sweets and enjoyed it.

When the Anthropologist asked them why you did so?

They said 'UBUNTU'

Which meant,
"How can one be happy when all the others are sad ?"

Ubuntu is a African word means - "Humanity to others" also means,
" I am what I am because of who we all are".

MORAL : Real Happiness comes from Sharing..,
Let us have a 'UBUNTU' life :-)

THE LAST PHONE CALL

Amit finishes writing suicide note. Then he calls up his brother Anuj.

Amit: "I am dying. I just wanted to say..."
Anuj: "What do you mean bhaiya?"
Amit: "I am killing myself"
Anuj: "Why? Wait wait... What are you saying. I will be home in 10 minutes. Don't do anything stupid. Just wait 10 minutes".
Amit: "I can't".
Anuj: "At least listen to me for a minute. One last time".
Amit: "Ok"
Anuj: "I cannot stop you from killing yourself, but bhaiya if you have to die - why not die  in a better way?"

Amit: "What do you mean?"
Anuj: "Bhaiya, remember you wanted to join the Army? Then die fighting bhaiya. Don't die just like that. Fight and die. Make it worthwhile bhaiya".
Amit: "But I don't want to fight anyone".
Anuj: " Why not? Will you you not fight for me? There are enemies at the border, terrorists who want to kill us - why don't you die fighting them bhaiya?"
Amit: "You are messing with my mind now".
Anuj: "No bhaiya. I really don't want to tell anyone that my brother committed suicide. I want to tell that my brother lived and died for a good cause".
Amit: "Hmmmm.......".
Anuj: "Bhaiya, Will you wait for 10 minutes? I am on the way".
Amit: "Ok".

Anuj rushes home, snatches the suicide note from Amit - and tears it into a thousand pieces. Both have tears in their eyes. Nobody died that day.

MOVE ON AND LET GO

My dentist once told me that letting go is like pulling a tooth. When it was pulled out, you're relieved, but how many times does your tongue run itself over the spot where the tooth once was ?

Probably a hundred times a day. Just because it was not hurting you doesn't mean you did not notice it. It leaves a gap and sometimes you see yourself missing it terribly. It's going to take a while, but it takes time. Should you have kept the tooth? No, because it was causing you so much pain. Therefore, move on and let go.

COCKROACH THEORY - A Beautiful Speech By Sundar Pichai.

" At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady.
She started screaming out of fear. With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.

Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky,

The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but.. it landed on another lady in the group.

Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.

The waiter rushed forward to their rescue.

In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.

The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behavior of the cockroach on his shirt.

When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for the histrionic behavior?

If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed ?

He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.

It is not the cockroach, but the inability of the ladies to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach that disturbed the ladies.

I realized that, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.

It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.

More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.

Reactions are always instinctive, whereas responses are always well though of, just and right to save a situation from going out of hands, to avoid cracks in relationship, to avoid taking decisions in anger, anxiety, stress or hurry.

So, what I learn from this story the waiter have maturity to respond.

The waiter teach me that,
" Maturity is about how you respond to the situation ".

Happy New Year :-)
